Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
The execution is where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. But inform your decision.
The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
